OMG!!! I'm still on a high from this incredible sunset sailing⛵ cruise in the beautiful Whitsundays! We set sail on the amazing @providencesailing from Airlie Beach and what an amazing experience - champagne flowing🥂, delicious nibblies🧀🥨😋, stunning scenery🌅 and of course lots of laughter😆😆😆

I was attending the Personal Branding & Style Retreat in Airlie which was 3 full days of self-discovery, marketing, branding & style. I'll be sharing more about that soon.

But for now, I had to share these fab shots from our sailing fun (inspired by my obsession with the Below Deck series - ha) I HIGHLY recommend this sunset sail when you visit Airlie!

Here's to good friends, good times & Ottolenghi😃👨‍🍳🥂 My vision for 2023🔮 - "a fun-filled year of exploration & new possibilities", and if January is anything to go by - it's off to a flying start!

Over the weekend, I enjoyed Ottolenghi's live show @atqpac. I was also lucky enough🍀 to score a copy of his latest book, "Extra Good Things", which is all about stocking up your pantry with flavour-boosting ingredients.

For 2 hours, Yotam told us tales from his youth and how his upbringing influenced the food that led to him becoming a chef, tastemaker & entrepreneur.

An eloquent & engaging speaker, I was glued to my seat, hanging on to his every word as he shared his incredible food knowledge.

The lovely @aliceinframes joined Yotam on the couch for the show, and there were quizzes and audience participation throughout. It was an incredible experience, a show I'd readily go to again.

Listening and drooling over Yotam's food experiences left us hungry for more and, well, hungry for food!

We stopped by River Quay Fish for a crisp sauvignon blanc & a tasty share platter - a true "flavour bomb", as Yotam would say! We may have also had a cheeky Negroni🍹to watch the sunset! see pics!

Brisbane’s best kept secret🤫 restaurant revealed -🥁 ”Izakaya Publico” a stunning new contemporary Japanese🍶🍣 restaurant hidden away in @hotelindigobrisbane. Having recently discovered @bar1603_, I was excited to check out @izakayapublico

This restaurant totally has the WOW😮 factor. From the striking moody murals that adorn the walls, to the exquisite food🍤🥟 & super friendly staff - this restaurant ticks all the boxes!

You can order dishes from the menu - although the plates are designed for sharing and I highly recommend the Superior set menu below:

Every single dish was amazing! But if I had to choose my favourites - they would have to be the Eringi King Oyster Mushroom Skewer with Garlic Teriyaki (yum( & Teriyaki Salmon)

How to find this hidden gem🕵 - Go through the entrance of Hotel Indigo, where you'll see the HUGE red door - enter and take the lift (or walk up the stairs) to level one, past reception to Bar 1603, where you'll see the sweeping stairs and dramatic giant murals leading to the restaurant. Enjoy!

British born🇬🇧, Aussie raised🇦🇺 with loads of travelling in between. A sense of adventure & a sense of humour - yep, that's me!

I've worked in hospitality for over 20 years, including some fun roles and more unconventional roles, including working on the beautiful tropical Lindeman Island resort🌴, a voiceover🎙️ at a popular Sydney radio station and a singing wench waitress🎶 in a London medieval restaurant.

All these experiences & travel have given me a broad perception of life and fuelled me to learn more. I'm about to re-launch my "Brissie Bites" website next week, which will be a hub for all of my favourite recipes, tips and restaurant reviews.
